is there anyway to rename your units like you could in panzer general?
They made something close:
Order of battle:Pacific
I queried the devs on this, and they replied the majority of people did'nt like it so it was'nt worth the time and effort. :(

Much better than Order of Battle: Pacific IMO
It includes this massive 60+ scenario (i think?) campaign with the japanese, from the initial invasion of china all the way to a possible invasion of the US that goes long enough for you to capture washington.
There is also possibility to play as the US (and australian forces) that follow the historical path.
