game is so slow/lag units and map scrolling

Few days ago, don't know if after some windows 10 update, game is so slow/lag units and map scrolling. Does anybody have this problem?

The lag is caused by the overlay, we removed the grid and the "MOVE" overlay and the scroll lag is gone, except that now the game is very awkward to play.

Does your psu fan spin up when lag?

I am not familiar with that machine, but the noises seemed normal.

Also the task manager showed an almost idle machine.

I suggest you trying this overlay trick.
My friend also reported me that he scaled down the movement png overlay image using a photo editing tool (both size and resolution) and now he can play with this smaller but still usable interface.

I won't be seeing him in the weekend, so I won't be able to judge how good this workaround is until Monday.
He says now the game is fine.

If this actually works, I might actually get this game.
Is there any sale on the Gold edition?
Also, should I get steam or the slitherine version? Is there any difference?

I have it on CD and it came with my name on the CD pic. was a nice touch.Im not sure if they still do that or not.

I saw the tweak in motion tonight.
It did help with the aircraft overlay lag, but I noticed that when there are many units on screen it lags regardless.
Rather ridiculous that scrolling some png pictures causes lag.

Frankly I am not going to risk it, this game is expensive.

Silly me, I got tempted and does run terrible on my machine too.
