It's not a PG game if it's not got animations. Yes, PC is a PG game.
Who's "everybody"? They are the chief reason I played PG1.
And their lack is the chief reason this game is a horribly overpriced piece of turd.
Tell'em how it is, brother!
there are backgrounds, and they are like binocular, in which one of them on attacker and the other for the defender, while making the battlefield like active and big enough to view in real scheme!
the difference in each infantry and the model for most tank making you feel
you are in the battlefield to watch they fight
In Panzer General 1, if you don't want waste time to run those battle animations, you can turn it off from option menu.
SSI had abandoned battle animations for their further General series. Included Allied General, Pacific Geberal, Star General and Fantasy General.
In Panzer General 2 and Peoples General, battle runs like PzC, just fight on the map.
Then Panzer General 3(3D for west front and Scorched Earth for east front) works at same way with 3D engine.
Although SSI had never put more battle animations into further General series, but the battle animation is the classical sign/style for Panzer General 1.
Second, i love PzC1 combat, i would not like binoculars battles.
Third, PzC is a different game than 1990s PG series and i think it has much better gameplay and it's much more fun to play.
because i will definitely turn them off after seeing a couple times.
+1
practically every1 will turn them off after a few turns
Not this call sign!
Of course, thay only show:
Who won the initiative and therefore fired first
How much strength was destroyed or suppressed
And then the result of what remains returning fire
