How do I land a plane?
My planes always block airfields so other planes can't land there. Are airfields 1 to 1? Only a single plane at a time?

You don't "land" planes. A plane can refuel at a friendly airfield using the airfield itself or any of the six adjacent hexes. It can only be repaired on the airfield hex itself. So you have to prioritise what is most urgent to repair or refuel.

Aircraft carriers are different as you can only refuel (and repair) on the hex occupied by the carrier.

Wait so basically each airport can only ever have 7 planes parked at it? I mean obviously there is an imperative to use your assets but in bad weather they need to go somewhere.

That's the limit. It makes some sense when you think that WW2 airfields were relatively primitive and had limited capacity, they were a long way short of Heathrow or LAX today.

Personally I find having to rotate air units around just part of the challenge. It does make capturing and securing airfields as you advance more important. There have been some occasions when I have been unable to use all my air units as I would wish but I've never lost a unit due to running out of fuel yet.

Actually, aircraft units in PzCps are not single units, but might be a whole squadron or whatever, just as an infantry or tank unit is not a single man but possibly a whole platoon.
So a 10-strength bomber unit can be regarded as 10 bombers and any more would overcrowd the airfield..:)

IRL there's a practical limit on how many planes can you service at a hangar and how many are readily available to be taxied onto the runway and take off, but there's nothing stopping you from parking a bunch of planes outside. This could be implemented in the game (or Pz.C2) by the way of being able to put planes back into reserve by parking them on an airfield but deployment being restricted to said airfield only.
