Has anyone installed & played the Mac version of Panzer Corps?

I want to get the Panzer Corp Gold version for my Mac, but even on sale it still costs $40. What worries me is the comment by the Dev in the Pinned topic "PC is out on Mac" that Slitherine did not make the Mac version, and we are only given an e-mail address to another company for support.

So I would like to hear if any other people have already installed and played the Mac version, and how well it performed.

Were you happy with it? Did you check out any of the DLC? How far into it are you?


I picked up plenty of games at crazy low prices during the sale, and I don't want to have the most expensive game I buy turn out to be a problem to install and play on a Mac.

If the Mac version of Panzer Corps has been done well, or has been well supported, I would prefer to just play that version. Now, in the pinned discussion about the Mac version now being available, a number of people brought up issues with the Mac port. I just wondered if those issues had ever been addressed. Checking out the web site of the company that did the Mac port doesn't provide very much information, which worries me.

Now that the game is on sale again, for an even lower price, I would certainly pick it up if they continued to work on the Mac version after the release.

Playing just base game on Mac and it runs well. Never played PC version so can't really compare, but I've been happy with it so far.

Functionality wise, the Mac version has no map editor or scenario re-player.

Also, has anyone ever contacted the Mac version developers at the [e-mail] address? If so, what kind of support did you receive? On the very limited Slitherine Mac forum, one poster mentions that he e-mailed a problem to that address and never heard back from them, so I just wondered what kind of support they provided?

And I wondered If all the DLC’s were working fine with the Mac version since I was planning on picking up the Gold version.
