The Cultist in the Cave Despawned and i cannot finish the game

So me and my partner were trying to finish the evil in the cave quest and died to the cultist but when we came back the cultist did not respawn , other mobs do respawn but not the boss so basically we are hard stuck and cannot progress

The Boss didnt spawn at all in my coop playthrough :(

Do you have to do something to spawn it or is it just supposed to be there?

There was a patch today and Ibguess they fixed it cus today I fought him

No, they didn't fix it. We've just played and the Cultist didn't spawn

This happened in our game as well. We fought him, got him almost dead, we wiped. Regrouped and gathered supplies, went back the next in game day and he was gone. We're now 10 days in game past and he still has not respawned, but the ghouls and hounds inside the cave are respawning fine.

i suppose just wait and he will respawn
