The Loot table for Fishing is annoying

Why am i catching arrows axes apple cores and everything but fish...? I am at the waters edge trying to catch Fish!! Atleast add a bait system so you can focus on Trout or crucian instead of wasting time with Chicken eggs and various items i am not looking for when fishing, i mean its is fishing right? The devs need to fix this terrible loot table for fishing or make a bait system to focus on what you want to catch. shouldnt take me 3 fishing rods to catch 10 crucian FFS.

Is this before you have done the entirety of the mermaids quest line? If so, it's because the water still needs to be cleansed. Once you finish the quest line, you catch fish significantly easier

yeah this is after the mermaid quest, and like 4 more afterwards.

My biggest complaint currently with fishing is that the difficulty doesn't justify the reward. It could be a very hard catch but ends up being a junk item. I think if it were tuned such as junk is easy and quick to fish up, but actual fish harder, then it would be much less annoying.

I think it should be able to have a skill system attached and a bait system so you can speed up the catch meter with better rod or more skill, and bait to focus on what you want to catch. I personally am more interested in running my tavern than i am the adventure part. Maybe they should just sell the fish at the market guy. Or when you catch fish its 5 at once. Or make it so it graduates from a single rod to net fishing.

Havn't had a single issue with the fishing. Fishing off the dock. Caught ilke 6 fish in a row

ran through a full rod got plenty of trout and crucian, but only 1 puffer and I need 8 for a quest, this blows.

see i get puffer after puffer and boar meat and dirty plates and like a bunch of trout and very little crucian. i wish you could unlock fish from the vendor after you get done with missions. i would rather just run my tavern than waste the time running around. I want to grow mushroom and have apple trees or be able to buy everything kinda sucks the foraging part is so tedious when you have done everything else.
