Grindy achievements.
Is that really necessary for the 100 hotel guests and 50 hostages from orc cages to be this insanely grindy? Like you can't even open the hotel alone, and the hostages quest take SO long to reappear on the board, and you have to do 25 rotations of both of those?

Yes, i guess. Just went grinding those, so guests one took about 2 hours. But hostages one... The quest reappear every 30-35 minutes, so it will be ~ 13 hours. I dropped it

OMG the hostages one is even worse than I thought, literally take around the same amount of time that i spent to do everything else.
Supposed to be a chill game, 3/4 of achievements unlock while playing through the story normally, this feels like wrong.

So yeah I checked, hostages quest is between 35/40 minutes to come back on the board, and a hotel guests rotation is around 15 minutes, and you have to do those 25 times each to get the achievements.
They're taking more time to complete than everything else in game put together, seems like a flaw to me.
You can cheese those hostages by obtaining key from the orc than saving your game once and after that open the cage and quit to main menu immediately without waiting for the completion screen to pop up. After loading back you will be in front of the tavern with the key in your inventory. Just repeat these steps to finish this boringness fast
this should also work with deliveries tasks but didn't test it myself

Oh I will be trying that for sure, this is the most boring thing to do in the game hands down.

Edit: It works perfectly, thanks ! You saved me the unbearable waiting.

They've updated the Hostage rescue achievements, they require less rescues now. 5 and 15.

From 10 and 25 it's certainly better, but the main problem is how long it takes for the quest to pop back up on the board.
Even with the update you're still looking at 9 hours to do it normally, which is still more time consuming than any other achievements in the game.

Took a quick look at the achievements last night and was like O K.. I need to check that quest board way more often and grab that Orc Prisoner one every time i see it along with redoing the rooms..

Rooms wise, I already got into the habit of grabbing food and drink for the tables and bought a set of extra sheets so i can replace the sheets, add the food & drink to the tables then reopen the rooms.....

WHEN i remember to check the rooms that is... think i am around 17-20 for that achievement so far.. going to take a bit tho.. Just got to figure out how often the rooms get used to get the timing right on it lol

Before the rework of the hostage achievements it was at least taking 14 hours to complete, considering you can complete the entire game in less time i'd say it's not OK.
The hotel one shouldn't need that much guests imo, 100 is still a lot, but at least you can do it quicker, around 6/7 hours for it.

Still these are the 2 most grindy achievements the game has, for no real reason.

You can now find hostages in random locations guarded by 2 ORCs.

So this will reduce time as well when finding these.

You could find them even before the hostages quest, and I'm guessing they don't count toward the achievement, because it's specifically says "cages" hostage.
Only the one during the board quest are in a cage.

I think you're right, I saved two and my progress didn't increase. Oh well, nearly at 15 anyways. lol

I found a best way the fast 100 rooms to open Inn wait for the 4 rooms are full and close everything everyday 4 ppl need only 25 day to do it and wait for the hostage quest, I'm already finish the game but I need just 7 orc cages with hostages
