How to interact with Hornet Nest? (solves)
I figured it out - I had to get the quest to do it.

I found a field of hornets but I don't know how to interact with the nests. I tried axing them and setting them on fire as well. Anyone have any idea or are they purely decorative ?

It is part of a quest. You will have to use your torch to light them up and burn them down.
