there is a map its a painting but it shows very little detail about locations

OP meant an ingame map like you usually have in games, I guess. Not the decoration you can buy or loot.
I second that. I'm terrible in navigating my way and get lost all the time.

The playable map is so tiny. A compass item wouldn't be bad.

compass is minimum needeed and objectives pointed

Agreed! A HUD with navigational tools would be really helpful!

I kinda like having no map other than the painting, but the quest indicator seems to be random on when it wants to show up, so making that more consistent would be nice. A compass would be a great addition, though.

My kingdom for a compass for the purpose of communicating which direction I went in relation to the tavern to teammates when running around and doing anything -but- run the place.
