Agree it's mostly kiddy-birthday as is.
There, I fixed it for ya.
Then just call it Metal nowadays it has become a practice now, and it has nothing to do with the original. Long live the Heavy / Hard / Rock / Blues!
I personally would love to see some He Is Legend on here, and bands like them.
I would also like to see a Twelve Foot Ninja track, just for general metal (not death). Their songs are interesting as they are a mix of genres. And they are fantastic guys that everyone should know.
Nightwish in General, the old ones, not the new ones with Annette. Dead Boys Poem comes to Mind.
Sonata Arctica, they are nice to sing along in general, such as but not limited to Letter to Dana or Replica, Last Drop Falls, Graven Image.
Metallica, Fade to Black, Nothing Else Matters, One
Hammerfall
Manowar has some really nice sing a longs such as The Crown and the Ring, Hail and Kill or Metal Kings.
MEAT LOAF!!!
If you want to educate people, put In Extremo on that list and add their gaelic and latin songs such as Herr Mannelig, Palästinalied or Ai vis lo lop.

You know, just make me a really nice Metal Edition and I buy it. But not DLC please. I can't stand pop, rap or dance. No offense to anyone who likes it :P.
Okay this is probably a really really far shot. But this is a thread requesting hard rock and metal music so might as well.
Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, added to Steam thanks to a very recent PC port, has a kicking vocal soundtrack, far from usual video game standards at least. What i don't know if is Konami has any rights over these tracks or if it's up to the respective artists.
Couple of examples.

I think the problem is there won't be that many wannabe customers knowing Metal Gear Rising compared to say "Metallica", "Iron Maiden" or newer bands.
Some suggestions of different metal flavors:
Metallica - "One", "Masterof puppets", "Fade to black"
Pantera - "I'm Broken", "Mouth for war"
Arch Enemy - "Blood is on your hands", "Revolution begins"
Draconian - "The morningstar", "Death come near me"
Black Sabbath - "Paranoid", "Iron Man"
Korn - "Blind", "Got the life"
Fear Factory - "Replica"
Sepultura -"Roots", "Refuse/Resist"
Machine Head - "Davidian"
Slayer - "Reign in blood"
Nightwish - "She is my sin", "Wishmaster"
In Flames - "Touch of red"
System of a down - "Chop suey"
Rammstein -"Der Meister", "Ohne dich" (with phonetic help
Blind guardian -"Curse of Feanor"
Or rather alt rock DLC like say Nirvana, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, Pink Floyd, Tool, Rage against the machines, Nine inch nails, Alice in chains.
