1. Start DUCKSIDE via GeForce Now.
2. Once the Steam Client appears, go to Steam > Settings > In-game > Server browser pings/minute.
3. Set the value to 5000 and try launching the game again. If that doesn’t fix it, try gradually lowering the value.
- Does the game not boot at all now?
- Could you share a screenshot of any error codes you might be getting?
- Are you using GeForce Now on a web browser or the client, and what device are you playing on (Android, MacBook, iOS, Windows)?
- Have you played Duckside directly on Steam before, without GeForce Now?
- Are you using a GeForce Now Ultimate or free subscription?
- Could you try restarting your router and then launch Duckside again?
If the error persists, try pressing "OK" on the error message and wait a few minutes. Another option is to unlink and re-link your Steam account to GeForce Now, which has helped other players.

Hey! Providing the information requested above would really help us identify the issue and assist you more effectively! 😊
I am having this issue as well and have answered your questions below.
- Does the game not boot at all now? No does not boot at all, error happens as steam is trying to load the game. I don't even see the steam logo pop up just the error right before the logo would pop up. I know this because I can hear the sound that accompanies the logo sometimes as the error pops up.
- Could you share a screenshot of any error codes you might be getting? Will get this and then reply. link to image

- Are you using GeForce Now on a web browser or the client, and what device are you playing on (Android, MacBook, iOS, Windows)? Playing on the Andriod app for me, sounds like the original poster was using a web browser on his Xbox.
- Have you played Duckside directly on Steam before, without GeForce Now? Yes played just last night worked fine.
- Are you using a GeForce Now Ultimate or free subscription? Ultimate
- Could you try restarting your router and then launch Duckside again? I have tried that and several other things such as reinstalling Geforce now the app, clearing its cache in app settings, removing the steam connection from Geforce now and then reapplying it, resyncing my steam library in Geforce now and finnally removing all DLC's from Duckside in Steam.
As other posters said all other steam games play flawlessly through Geforce now, Duckside is the only one with this issue.
Hey! It seems this error is GeForce Now-related, likely because the game doesn’t currently support controllers. Games requiring a mouse and keyboard can’t be played on iOS, iPadOS, or Android. You can find more details here: https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/5109/~/what-geforce-now-games-are-supported-when-streaming-from-a-browser-on-ios%2C.
Do you know if controller support is planned for Duckside? Are you one of the developers working on Duckside?
Yes; controller support is in the plans. :)) You can find more details on our Roadmap post here: https://steamcommunity.com/games/2682580/announcements/detail/4694529606300112475
