Nintendo Switch port?
Does anyone else here think that this game would be great for the Switch? I'm not really qualifed to speak about how that would work, if it would work at all. Feel free to tell me that I'm an idiot and that it would never work.

It should but I think you need special license to launch your product in Nintendo(aka copyright ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥) machines

Same with steam.. All platforms/resellers will cost you for putting your product into the public and generally for small games/no-name devs, It's affordable.

The issue isn't licence, It's workload. Porting and re-creating the game to work on Switch is what would make this possible or not.

And yes, Best case possible is that every game is avaiable to everyone. But it's not possible for every game/team

One thing though with the programing the switch uses, depending on what engine he is using it could be as easy as changing the build output of the engine to switch and fix minor bugs (aka anything unreal 4) to a full recoding of the game. So yes this could come out for the switch.

BUT will a extremely small team port a indie game to the switch, probably not.
If it sells like crazy and is the next big indie game, maybe then.

that's what i was thinking, that the engine could possibly be an issue.

I think this game would be great on Switch, snarky comments aside.

The engine Tom uses is GameMaker: Studio. At this time there is no Switch support.

Its availabel now since a month.
@Pentadact / Tom Franics: How likely is it to see Heat Signature for the switch? What effort do you expect and how are other constraints?
Even now the gamepad support is great! I prefer it over mouse+keyboard.

I don’t think Tom is interested in supporting other platforms, after hearing him talk about how terrible it was to do the Mac and Linux ports for Gunpoint on one of the Crate and Crowbar episodes. Basically he only did it because he had to, not because he cares. :/
