Any Lore Information?
I am wondering a lot about the different factions, but I can't find any information in the game.

Each time you liberate a stronghold, a defector from the corresponding faction will sometimes appear in liberated stations. Those defectors can be spoken to and the conversations provide SOME insight into the ideals and morals of the factions.

I can give you what I've learned so far, but it'll be hidden under a spoiler tag.

You get the foundry guy at the start of the game :)
This game isn't lore-heavy, but that has been written, is awesome. Those conversations are really worth having - epsecially the Offworld one.

The following spoiler tag contains spoilers for the topics of conversation, and the motives I have gleaned from conversations with a former Offworld Security Operative, and Breaker Gemini.

I HIGHLY HIGHLY encourage you to play through the game and liberate strongholds in order to get to the conversations yourself.

But I will update this with each conversation as I unlock them for those who are lazy or don't care about spoilers.

Breaker Gemini
Foundry Society is a technocratic society. If a problem arises, be it a social, economic or military. There can and will always be a piece of technology that can be invented to solve it. At least that is what the people of Foundry believe. They often bicker over which piece of technology that is, but everything in their society is solved with technology. They spent years building space stations while their enemies spent years building weapons.

Offworld Security Operative
Offworld Security are not particularly interested in the Nebula, they know about the value of the acid but they have no actual interest in it. They are present in the nebula because they own the nearest planet, and the nebula is technically within their space. As far as they're concerned, they're there to keep the peace between the warring factions. Offworld security has a strict "NO KILL" policy, so much so that the only lethal weaponry they possess are the missile launchers on their ships (Which I would imagine are only used to disable engines for boarding purposes). Offworld Security is also perfectly happy to use Torture as a means to get what they want. They believe that inflicting pain upon an individual in order to save lives is an acceptable trade-off, and so have no qualms with it. They would happily break all of your fingers if they thought one of them might pull a trigger.

Alright, thanks guys. Will try to find out on my own then. I read up on some basics on the wiki after I started the thread. ^^
