How to subdue an armored guard?

I had a mission to Capture some guy. Normally this is quick and easy. I exterminate the crew and knock out the target. In this case the target was armored. I know LOTS of ways to kill an armored target but could not figure out how to knock him out. I tried hitting him with 2 wrenches and got in 3 consecutive hits before he shot me.

Looking for advice on how to actually capture him.
Notes : The crew was dead. I could fly back and forth to Home with no issues. I just couldn't figure out how to NOT kill him but still stop him.

Same Issue... Tho ive been somewhat lucky on some missions, where i've shot a window and sucked them out.

you'll need some kind of armor piercing concussive weapon. must specify concussive and armor piercing.

1. Blast him through a window
2. Use your pod to catch him
3. jump out window yourself
4. catch yourself with the pod
5. go back to a station

A way I've found is to lure them to a window then break the window and rescue them with your pod in time, that usually works, but I think they reawaken if you re-attach a pod to the ship, not sure.

1: Armor piercing concussive gun/shotgun
2: Blast them out of a window (and catch them if you're trying to capture them)
3: Glitch teleport them into space (ditto)
4: Concussive grenades (I believe all explosives ignore armor)
5: "Brick" or breach charge the room next to them, causing them to get sucked out
6: Be creative :)
