Not quite. OP is saying it should a chance of resurfacing a long time after it was silenced.
And honestly, I disagree. I like the idea that you are able to stop a secret from getting out entirely. There's enough going on in the game that it should not bite you when you thought a crisis was over.
And also, the idea is kinda represented in game anyway: even if you got the meter to the lowest green just before nothing, AND have a security guy on the case, it can STILL get out and rise straight to leaked immediately if you are unlucky enough rather then being silenced forever.
Dude... play the game more than 1 time, and you can figure this out.
I'm aware it can still get out even being on the lowest green. I was talking about maybe 3 or 5 years down the road. It's been a while since I played the demo, but I think the example was what's his face who died after filming the Lucky Luke movie and your lawyer says that there was a contract where he is owed some points off the film. Should we tell the family and pay them what they are entitled to?
So let's say you get rid of the secret. Maybe a few years later, the family hires a P.I. or someone, like the lawyer, is frustrated with you wants to blackmail you and leak the secret out. That would open some more "quests" or whatever you want to call it. You could beat or kill the guy blackmailing you which would create another secret. Yes, there are a lot of moving parts throughout the game, so it'd be one more thing to juggle. I'm not saying the game was easy, but I think once you get the hang of things, it's easy to keep things afloat. This would make the game more interesting and add to the difficulty. Maybe there can be a toggle option to allow this to happen...
I understand this may be complicated to implement.
