Question regarding traits
so i had a question regarding traits and wanted to know if they were explicitly made with random events and ways to boost someones loyalty and happiness in mind or if some of them serve other purposes too like for example ive been trying to make a movie thats unorthodox for the time period just to see how the game would react to it and i thought the disciplined writer could write that story for me but he refused to write the script

I believe one of the ways of coercing people to play those roles is to find dirt on them but unfortunately the demo is too short to get that upgrade

Well I was able to choose to tell them to "shut up and play" but I didn't test what would happen then. Oh well, another run

In general, I found issues like that usually just require a bit of extra money to convince them

Yeah, had the same with a female detective and could convince the actresses for money. However, there might be "unconventional" demands (women in male roles) and "impossible" demands (portrayal of homosexual relationships) in relation to the social standards of the decade you are in. I assume stuff like that will change when the timeline advances, like females in male roles becoming accepted later on.

Cops in cinema were usually portrayed as bumbling idiots and/or obstacles in films until the last half of the 1940s, and beginning of the 1950s. A cop as a protagonist was rare, with that kind of role generally being a private detective.

no but that was AFTER the cop came to me with the request to portray "heroes in uniform"

I also didn't want to ruin their joy and loyalty because my films were NOT doing well lol
