Wow I understand the hate for Maluca now,why the ♥♥♥♥ can he heal??
I went in knowing he was nerfed,I did take a break before continuing and beat Viper before his nerf (was pain) so I went in thinking "well he's nerfed he can't be that bad"
And honestly he ain't,3 try in and I basically downloaded that first phase and never need to heal.
Sure the 2nd phase right now is wtf vergil mode and I just gotta learn. And tbh the chaos status I find bs,but It activate only if he touch you with the 2nd form first move, and its easy to dodge so idc much about it.

BUT WHY,WHY can he fking heal?? And I can't interupt? Even greatsword's full potent don't stop it.
The moment he heal,I just drop the controller and wait to die
Why can he do it in his second phase?? Thats the dumbest part to me,dude is a boss, have 2 phases and you give him heal + stamina heal on top? I wonder tf was the non nerfed version back then cause holy ♥♥♥♥ man its annoying to fight now...

edit : Lmao he can do it twice too? Once in normal then chaos form? This is actually dumb
2edit: Finally beat it,he actually healed freakin twice in Chaos form after healing once in base form, that ♥♥♥♥ took me 12min,but hey 9th try the charm

The nerf was only 8% of his health and damage. His is basically the same as he was before.
And it's been a while, but I think the way to avoid him healing is to be very aggressive and just beat him non-stop.

just charge (heavy) attack him, doesn't work with dual skill (the one that buffs) tho
The funny thing is that people don't actually hate that fight

Looking back, this was a decent fight. Besides heal (which is BS), it was a good experience.

SPOILER
Later in a side mission you can fight a Maluca "brother" again

And it's also nice it has just 1 HP bar. Unlike some of unfair bosses later in the game.

His second phase along with the healing gave me brain tumor. This could be a more fun fight if it was a bit later on the game. But then again, Viper also felt too early in the game
I really don't get what people are doing to have him heal all the time. he only heals in two situations

1. he breaks your guard because you mistimed a parry or didn't dodge when he does a small handful of moves.
3.(and I have never personally seen this one in my game but I saw it in a youtube video) you run away to the other side of the map while he is guarding

him healing is always up to you and your fault. he doesn't just do it repeatedly apropos of nothing.

Well true that, if you do the perfect game at this boss, he won't punish you, but nonetheless he still has the ability to heal, even if its a punishing mechanism for breaking the players guard, so still its kinda annoying

"just perfect it bro so he doesn't do X" is the dumbest answer I saw yet.

He did it to me just cause I ran out of stamina (not guard broken, just not attacking) and literally wouldn't risk attacking at half stamina in case something big was coming.
He does it more than in just those 2 cases (and hell you only actually experienced one so gg on that, you ain't even saw them all,I saw a vid where he does it right after the double jump slash, for no good reason since it was a no hit video,so no guard break nor other side of the map)

He also does it even if you stick to him at point blank without attacking, like when oh idk,you regen your stamina?

this is literally not what I said. you would do better if you let him hit you. if you got hit, he wouldn't heal. even if he does heal you can recover fast enough to charge attack and get a full combo dealing more damage than what he healed for. people shouldnt be seeing his heal all the time even if they suck. if you can't take the hit you should have more points in vitality.
Well, the point is that he does that, even if it's avoidable under super specific conditions. And its annoying af cause the health pool of the bosses in the game is already massive.

what the heal? If so well thats a big nope since he can do it in first form and with the dual blades in 2nd form,he sure as hell did that to me a lot,and fextralife vid show it too

The health pool isn't massive. Anyone who thinks this has not:

1. Played any other action game. Bosses die even slower in something like DMC 3.
2. Learned how to play the game. You should combo by using your entire stamina bar and some spirit attacks. Attacking once after blocking something is not how you play.
