Hi, two questions about the game

I am currently fighting Viper. I am level 57. But max level 36 gear drops. If I exit and farm the first two bosses, will higher gear drop to match my level at this point in the game? Smd after that if I redo all viper zone, will proper level gear drop for my level, or is the gear maxed like skill points until viper beaten, then raised?

And the phantoms I have 2. I didn't realize I had to select one amd it start leveling. Do the phantoms stats increase as they level in addition to their buff? Like one has a stamina regeneration % and the other an attack up%.

And is that buff for them, me, or both of us? How high should I level the phantoms so they are of any use to me or fighting?

As you progress the gear dropped from the bosses does level, but only to a point. You have now overleveled everything and you are not going to get any better gear. Just go beat the Viper to get better loot.

The phantoms buff you. So you if it has stamina regeneration, you get that bonus to your own. Those phantoms don't have stats, they just buff you. The spirits you summon are buffed separately from a different screen. You gotta kill a bunch of spirits of adversity, collect their lacrima drop and then use that to buff them by talking to Daphrona.

you are level 57 fighting viper for the first time? if so how? that is a lot of grinding for a boss you are expected to fight like around 20ish. no gear has an upper limit per stage. earlier stages will not get you any higher level gear.

yeah the phantoms do increase their passive stats as they level up. the phantoms you equip are just more gear. it has nothing to do with the spirit of advocacy. treat it like you are just equipping any other equipment. they just give you their passive ability.

The phantoms give buffs to you at all times. The lvls affect the top numbers, and they display the next level improvements there. The bottom two effects are for after you find their specific collectible later in the game.


Remember that you can unlearn any skill on your tree to put points elsewhere at no additional cost. I dont know what weapon you are using, but you might find a specific skill to be very user against viper.

People say that but watch YouTube. I saw a few guides, and they showed stats before fight. Most were 20 to 25 all stats. That's level 50+. So I guess it says 17 but most only can do much later.
