- Nexon, probably
Honestly they took what they could from Project BBQ and turned it into First Berserker Khazan, when everything from Project BBQ could have been lost entirely, getting this instead of nothing i think is far better.
if i were you i'd try and give the game a chance instead of writing it off before it has even released?
This is probably the better direction.
If your final evaluation is it's a "copy and paste" Souls like game i doubt anything i say will change your mind as you simply don't want to enjoy the game. putting that aside, having a Game set in the DFO universe that's branching into a different genre is still massively better than being entirely scrapped as it brings new people to the IP. If this does well it could also incentivise game devs and publishers to green light more projects set in the DFO universe which is also a net positive.
I can't think of any FromSoft game that has this game's skill true and moveset per weapon or build variety. The only games that are this fast are Bloodborne and Sekiro and neither has this level of weapon skill variety. And unlike Sekiro, Khazan isn't forced into a parry style.
Said it better than i could!
It's kind of like NCsoft trying to develop Lineage III for all these years, the very act of trying to do that has spawned much lesser, 'smaller' projects- Neople and Nexon are cursed with the same fate with DF.
