Just ran through this

Just completed the game. took me one attempt to defeat Ozma and Reese, Hismar took two. To be honest i only struggled at the beginning when i was using great sword, seemed to me that it is the weakest of the three weapon types. Hardest bosses for me were Maluca, Aratra and Viper ( in that order ). I highly recommend that you change to dual wield and spam whirlwind if you are struggling at the game and want to make it easier. To be honest it made the game a total breeze, i could basically run through everything with that.

Anyways.... a good game and im probably gonna run through it a second time with a spear. Not lies of p level of quality but not far from it. Totally good time.

The story though was total heresy. i just wish someone made a souls like from a christian perspective :D

Maybe :D it had so much hp and i did so little damage with great sword at that point.

If you focus on it's front legs and back, you can destroy them and do A LOT of damage + get rid of some attacks as well.

That is why the boss is on the easy side because when you destroy it's leg, you will do like 20-30% damage at once.

i didn't know that and always just attacked from the front and back. well ill keep it in mind for the next play through

You can also lock onto it's front legs to make it easier to hit them and break them.

Which is very strange as he is the easiest boss in the game, on the same level as Yetuga.
The elite spider right before the boss cave is actually stronger.

Aratra is pretty much one of those Pincer Spiders (or whatever they are called), but with more health and a few more attacks. When you know that you can break their front legs, the fight becomes super easy because you do crazy amount of damage to the boss.

I complained about it, a lot :D But I didn't create a separate thread. In my opinion that's the only boss with an actual too much health for the corresponding level. Otherwise an easy boss, but stupidly healthy :D
