Fast Travel?

Fast travel without having to go back to the base. Soulstone and jar hunting.

It's the bloodborne approach. One hub that you have to constantly travel to, so you can move between the areas.

Yeah, at the very least within the same map allow it. It's a huge waste of time to have to keep going back to the hub. And the hub itself is a huge waste of time with the "2 realms" and people scattered all over the place. Pointless time sink. I hate time sinks.
