Bosses
is it just me or are the bosses a bit overpowered? I can deal with the enemies, sure, but the bosses are so ridiculous that for the first time since playing any soulslike, I had to lower it to easy mode.

And they're STILL ridiculous, not at all helped by how stingy the game is with nether energy for healing.

Bosses are a bit strong, but once you learn them, they are easily passable. You should make sure that you are using good combos and utilizing all game mechanics that are presented to you.
its hard to know how to help without more specific grievances. I think a mistake people make is playing this game like dark souls instead of khazan. that and not investing in vengeance points in the "Khazan Memories" menu
I´ve beaten Maluca after 14 trys. No boss is rly difficult to this point. You have to learn the patterns und do your own thing (more doging or more blocking or parrying). I only use healing and nothing more like in all soulslikes I´ve played.

just you, sounds like you're not learning/using the mechanics of the game.

The bosses are actual skill checks in this game.
Often in games like Dark Souls or Nioh, a boss might seem really difficult, but if you go grind some levels, you might be able to beat them in fewer hits and thus bypass the difficulty.
In this game, grinding doesn't do much. Khazan makes you learn the boss you're fighting; memorize their combo strings, understand their tells, listen for sound effects to know when to dodge or guard. It's almost guaranteed that you'll die a number of times, but usually once you beat them, you know that you actually BEAT them; it wasn't just luck or happenstance, you earned the right to move forward. It's pretty fair once you get the groove of it, but it definitely refuses to just give you a win.
It's probably the reason that people often call Sekiro the hardest of FromSoft's Soulsborne games, because it has a similar "learn or fail" mentality, with grinding serving little purpose.
just you...
just you..

another skill issue yeah?

they are not overpowered at all.
yes they have a lot of life and dmg. but thats how it is suposed to be because you have to think of a quicktime event if you picture boss fights in this game. dont think you can be creativ or freely fight how you think you want - no ! every boss have a certain pattern of moves YOU HAVE to peform to do him good and easy. and if you miss it you are doomed to repeat the mechanic phase over and over and over again untill you VERY SLOWLY beat him down , wich is realy painfull , or you just die - wich is the way better way , believe me.

right now i fight a boss who wants be blocked in certain time with a certain attack pattern as follow to drain stamina and if you block to early perfekt and combo , stamina is locked and the boss will just regain his full stamina while you storm attacking him. its realy stupid to be honest but people seem to like to be restricted in their creativity of fighting. and a lot of people seem to ignore or not see the little unfair tricks and cheats the devs used to transform a bossfight into a very straight quicktime event without button overlay.

sad this game had a lot of potential but its just a action rpg on rails. with no freedome of creativity or fighting at all.
