Demo Dual Wield Weapon has highest scaling???
Would say I am a good third into the game and I'd love equipping a new cool dual wield weapon but the starting ones literally outscale all the ones I've picked up. I just would like to see the other weapons buffed or some kind of balance and am curious if this changes later in the game.

so far demo weapons have the best scaling. hadnt reached the end of NG+ myself tho so i dont know what the scaling is for Legendary weapons.

Demo weapons from before the release have higher scaling than the main game weapons, but as you level up you get a higher-tier of weapons and sets that provide you bonuses and the little numerical damage advantage of demo weapons becomes irrelevant.

The devs said they let us keep the demo weapons with higher scaling from before launch as a 'thank you'

why do people care so much about those weapons. they clearly are not ment to be in the game, so if you want to cheat so bad just go find a cheat.
"After the online demo, we made several balance adjustments, and we’ve realized that some weapon items dropped in the demo may now perform differently compared to those in the full release. However, we felt it wouldn’t be right to alter items that players had already obtained.

If the demo weapons had turned out to be significantly overpowered—enough to break the overall balance of the main game—we would have had no choice but to modify them, even if it meant asking for your understanding. But since high-tier set items available in the mid-to-late stages of the full game are much stronger, we decided to leave the demo weapons as they are, as a small bonus for those who participated in the online demo.

If you feel the demo equipment you have is too powerful, you’re welcome to switch to gear from the main game. On the other hand, if you're finding the early parts of the game too difficult and think the demo weapons could help, feel free to use them—they can be useful during the early stages."

its bugged, they later changed the scaling in the demo to b/c, but the leftover weapons from the old demo werent changed for whatever reason.

no other weapon even in NG+ have ever come close to outpacing the B+ scaling ones, the difference in damage is just too great, despite what they say. Even Epic weapons cant compete.

I was able to upgrade my demo weapon near the end of act 1.
It's fairly possible that with augment it would be my most damaging weapon if I had kept it but the damage gap would require to be absolutly massive to compensate for both the loss of a set bonus and the bonus skill of epic weapons.
I do not have any to compare, but the scaling in this game really does not amount to much, a B scaling means you merely get 2 more attack per point then putting a point into the non scaling stats. So 50 points into your primary stat will be 150 attack power and putting it into say vitality would be 50, only a hundred point difference, so I assume B+ would be either half a point or a full point higher, meaning it would be 200 attack power(at most). so in other words, not a massive difference.

You lose out on one tier of a set bonus and 2 or 3 passive stat boosts. where you can get more attack power. So it sounds like it evens out to me, a slight boost in early game, where you are going to be pretty low level anyway. So unable to take full advantage.

Unless there is some hidden value on scaling, the only difference is the extra attack power.

yeah i think their argument (which is more of a technicality) is that set bonuses become decent around mid to late game so you'd be encouraged to switch then. but yeah the scaling on demo weapons is absurd, you get so much more damage per point
After NG+, the demo weapon is trash because Epic weapons have some broken hidden skills, and those skills are game-changers.
Eg: The epic Sentinel's Greatsword have Mortal Blow: Murderous; Devourer of Darkness Greatsword have Mad Dash. no one want to use Demo wp after tasting the skills.

The devs confirmed that it is not a bug but intentional.

in NG+ the Epic weapons can roll raw damage affix which indeed puts them on equal footing, and their extra bonuses put them ahead. But NG+ in itself is.. kinda pointless as is, there isn't new stuff to discover nor new challenges.
