Every dev likes to troll

In every game there is that one skill that is so garbage that the only reason for it to exist is that devs want to make fun of you

In this game it's phantom form skill
Rly what is that skill for. It sucks. Any other skill is better.
In boss fights, u get staggered when you get hit or lose duration, you dont deal dmg like other skills. And one skill costs 7 to get access to upgrade phantom dmg which is ridiculously bad as well

- it resets all conditions on you if you go in and out of it
- it can function as an extra health bar if you need to have just a few extra strikes on the boss, but your health is running out

I can use a combo that deals 2/10 of boss hp in instant and empties boss' stamina,
That phantom skill tree is just troll
Dont spend one single point on it and just use it as it is since it a troll skill tree

Eh I’ve grown to appreciate it. I’d like to do a fresh game file focusing on phantom form after maluca. I’ve been running a phantom form build on new game plus and have been surprised at its utility for

Combo extension
Stamina reset
Better reflect frames
Higher damage brutal attack
Status cleanse
Damage immunity

It definitely gets more potent on ng+ and beyond tho

Still I have to emphasize that I think not investing in it is correct. I think a normal build with wulfric will always be better.

Brutal Attack: Decent seems like the true "troll" skill to me. If there are even moments in the game where you can actually use it, they are few and far between. Definitely not enough to justify having a skill point spent on it.

It's an amazing skill, actually. The hight required for it is quite small and I've successfully triggered it from a pedestal that's just above an enemy's head. There are a ton of walls, stairs and other elevations where you can use it. It's everywhere, actually.
But the amazing part is that it actually has "splash" damage. When you execute it, if there are any other enemies around the one you are targeting, they get second-hand large damage too and might be killed along with the target. They also become stunned and primed for a brutal attack, so you can kill like 3 enemies with second and third normal brutal attacks at once. And btw if you cannot kill the enemy you are executing it on by doing just one brutal attack from the wall, he still becomes stunned and primed for another brutal attack. There are a ton of places where you have zombie ambush waiting for you and with this skill you can instantly kill them all.
In addition you can execute this skill from quite high up, where if you would've jumped normally, you would've lost a big chunk of health or died. So that's a little side benefit of saving time by not going around.

you dont need it, but you try it out and waste a lot of time trying it out. Definition of troll
