Camera jitter on gamepad
Anyone else? When I slowly move the right joystick to move the camera, it jitters horribly. Deadzone issue? Using a DualSense controller with DS4Windows.

You're right. It's happening on every Platform, I'm using an Xbox controller and it's the same thing. I'm surprised barely anyone is talking about this. It's the only reason why I won't pre-order. At least until the Devs confirm they will fix it.

Playing it right now and they didn't fix it, honestly it's so obvious that I don't even think the devs played with a gamepad at any point during développement...

I'm not getting this at all. Maxed settings, 120fps, DLAA, 1440p. 4070 Ti Super and a 9800X3D.

Same happens to me, mostly when running with the character and at the same time slowly moving camera with the right joystick. Not gamebreaking but I am not able to move camera like in E3 gameplay 😆 hope they will fix it

for those using an RTX 4xxx card try to unable framegen, it resolve jittering while spinning with a controller

Frame Gen causes the issue when barely moving the control stick to look around.

Edit: I was wrong, it exists without frame gen as well but to a lesser extent. Devs somehow didn't try to move the camera slowly while walking around.

I'm playing this on PS5 and getting this exact issue. So I don't know if it's the game or the controller.

It has nothing the so with your PC lol, it's a gamepad/controller bug

It's the game, tried on 3 different controllers, nothing changes...

I'm pretty sure devs didn't play with a gamepad at all, it's so obvious and happens literally everytime you move your character and the camera at the same time , doesn't happen on mouse and keyboard though

Nope it doesn't, nothing to do with frame gen actually cause it also happens on consoles

Yep, especially during dialogs

Oh. In that case, I'm using an 8bitdo controller masquerading as an X360 Controller.
for me it feels like the auto camera and then moving the camera manually interfering with each other. would be great if there were an option to disable the auto camera when moving. so for me it only happens when moving the character and the camera at the same time.

It's the default deadzone being set too high, along with (I'm pretty sure) the camera speed scaling from 0 instead of the end of the deadzone. Meaning if the stick centered is 0, camera full speed is the stick at 100, and the deadzone covers the 0-15 range, when you cross back and forth of the deadzone threshold, the camera speed keeps toggling between 0 and 15 causing the jitter. The higher you have the sensitivity, the more jarring it is.

The fix would be that the camera speed scales only in the non dead zone area, and we need a setting in game to set where the deadzone ends, because the default is too damn high.

No idea if the devs read these, but here's hoping.
