Please remove Denuvo it legit makes the game perform the worst!
Ever wonder why the next update gives you performance issues? Stutters, jitters and lag? The root cause of that is Denuvo. Many Windows users are encountering this problem, Linux users have it worst.

Not only is Denuvo expensive to maintain but it also ruins your game's performance that's why you will get lags, stutters and longer loading times.

Unreal Engine 5 has its own problems, but a good programmer can try to optimize the game to smooth things out. Now add in Denuvo and you get two too many performance problems.

Have pity on your game developers, the ones responsible for optimization and hotfixes, scratching their heads and having sleepless days when the next update drops and they are back to square one with the performance issues arising again.

Look at Monster Hunter Wilds, my friend's motherboard got rekt just by playing that game that he had to order another one, that's the only game that destroyed his motherboard of all the games he played, and his PC is cleaned regularly of dusts.

You are paying Denuvo expensive fees as if you have a very big budget like Capcom in which even their game developers are having a hard time optimizing their game.

Stop contributing to new games getting released still having performance issues while

The money you spent on Denuvo is better spent on actually improving performance, more fixes, more content, more DLC and more QoL changes and faster update times but you instead insist on Denuvo.

I'm telling you for real, Unreal Engine 5 has its own problems but adding in Denuvo makes it a boss fight of problems for your programmers.

Oh shi...Why is it still having performance issues what the heck...
Mine runs well, let's keep denuvo hahaha...
Haven't had a single issue with performance after 65 hours.

Have a mid-range (getting to be lower-end) PC. I leave it on while I'm working sometimes and have racked up some good idle time. I had the game crash maybe once? Could be twice, but if it was it was weeks ago and on the same day*.

No issues on steam deck either.

Can't know what's wrong without your specs or deeper digging.

I have gone over multiple videos and threads on how to adjust GPU and ingame graphic settings.
The game performs better, but it's not good.

After the latest patch I am experiencing extreme lag when fighting a certain eletric-type boss in the game. Once that boss enchants her weapon with electricity, the performance craps itself.
I had the same issue before the latest patch when fighting Viper. Turning off the environmental interaction settings fixed it for Viper's snow-covered arena.
And there are plenty of other bosses in the game, that cause the performance to dive out of nowhere.

I have not noticed any of these major performance problems outside of boss arenas.
I have noticed, partially even worse, performance issues during certain cutscenes. Example: the cutscene after defeating a certain 4 legged, winged, mythological creature, the cutscene had very intense FPS drops and was constantly jumping between 80 and 120 fps, up and down and up and down.

GPU: Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB
CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X
Mobo: B550 Aorus Pro V2
60Hz Monitor
32GB of RAM
Windows 10 (if that matters)
Medium graphics settings

Not the best hardware, but still far above the requirements for a "smooth experience".
I get 165fps locked (or thereabout) on my system

7900XT

32gigs DDR-4 4000

i7-13700k

Win 11 latest version.

I had almost no issues on 4k tv (hdmi), dx12, 120 fps locked. Strangely, I had stutters on the laptop's screen at 1440p.

max settings
2560x1600 resolution
4080 laptop gpu
144fps stable (I can uncap it more but I dont care for that even tho my monitor is 244hz)

your friends motherboard was broken and he was bad at building pcs and screwed something up cuz im playing MH wilds with 80-110 fps high settings with RTX on set to high on the same laptop BUT That game does have bad performance in general (bad but not horrible enough to wreck a motherboard you either lying or that MOBO was broken anyway, First berserker Khazan really doesnt.

imma give you a great advice.

almost 85% of threads that goes "UGH PERFORMANCE IS BAD"
is
- people that have minimum specs (or below) and expecting 80+ fps on high 1080 (even tho in most cases store page suggests 1080p/30fps if your in the minimum)
- ppl that cant understand anything about pcs
- same as above but ppl that have horrible maintaned systems riddled with issues/malware /bad overclocking/overheating and way more possibilities.

sometimes games do perform bad and it happens a lot but this game aint one of them
the fact my brother who i family shared with playing this on his 10 year old laptop with 1080 gtx gpu and playing it very smooth proves that.

You don't even own it so how would you know what performance is like? This thread in reality: "Please remove Denuvo so I can finally pirate the game."
why everyone showing his spec ? nobody asked, put back your e-penis in your pants
Bazzite OS here, 165 fps ultra setting, 2K, no stutter, zero problems, maybe is time to switch os and remove that windows spyware?
Khazan is in Unreal engine 4, not 5.

Because Zogtar said, "Can't know what's wrong without your specs or deeper digging."
And people obviously have higher specs than is required for the game to run smoothly, yet the game does not run smoothly.

Same CPU as yours, just running a 2070 super instead. I also have frame skipping in cut-scenes. Don't think that's because of denuvo though...

Someone more "OS-minded" can help a bit more than me, but you can look for background processes or potential bottlenecks in your cores/gpu in the task manager to see what you can find. If the bottlenecks are coming from the kernal, then it "could" be denuvo.
