But if you ask whether it really gives some help against taking negative states, the answer is a big "NO".
In this game, there are only 2 situations:
(1. below 900 Resistance, or (2. above 900 Resistance
Resistance works like this, because the efficiency curve is not linear.
You are completely immune to certain negative state once you reach 1000 Resistance or partly immune to background negative effect by once you reach 900 Resistance. (for example, poison swamp)
So, if your resistance is stay in any interval between "0" and "899", forget your resistance, any number looks no big difference to you.
and about this 300 Resistance from potion, it also dosen't mean 30% cut, since the curve is not linear. If you get 4 hits to take a negative state, you will face the same fact even after you drink the potion.
Ahh okay thank you, I never check how much it add, I just found it weird that it feel like no difference at all. Might as well not use it T__T
You always want to have both ring and necklace with appropriate resistance for a fight. I would only use consumables once you have a good hang on the fight and just need a bit of a push to defeat the boss.
He's right that fully immune is 1000, and 900 is partially immune on swamp ground.
