How easy is easy mode
Game a little to challenging for me. But I don't want it to be a cakewalk. And you can't switch back to normal once you change it to easy.

nobody can tell you how easy it's gonna be for you as we don't know how you play

I went from normal to easy and did not notice much difference. It is still hard. I'm sure it makes it a little easier, but for me some bosses were still hard to beat. It does not make it a cakewalk

i play on easy mode and every boss took me around an hour. Maluca was the hardest so far he took me like 3 hours. 12/16 my current progress

stamina regen is higher, bosses deal less stamina damage and health damage, and brink guard/dodge windows are more generous. thats it AFAIK but I haven't actually ever turned it on.

easy mode should be called "normal" and normal should be "hard". It makes stamina management a bit easier but the actual combat is still satisfying. I've beaten both Niohs, Elden Ring, PS2 Shinobi (the hardest game ever), the xbox ninja gaidens, GOW and GOW2 on Give me god of war difficulty, and I have more fun playing this on "easy" it feels less cheep.

ps2 shinobi the hardest game ever? idk. it was jank and clunky but once you got a hold of what your options were it felt fine. most of the other games listed on their hardest difficulties where applicable feel harder IMO but difficulty is subjective I suppose. its also been probably like 15 years or likely more since I played it.

Are you sure about that? I thought you could switch back to normal?

not currently, you can as of tomorrow's patch:

https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/2680010/view/543355041065468581?l=english

It is now possible to change the game difficulty from Easy to Normal. (However, the difficulty level cannot be changed during the final mission or in the ending area while playing.)

Easy mode still provides a challenge. Don't expect to just breeze through enemies.

I'm grateful we can change the difficulty back to normal as I regret changing the difficulty to easy after being impatient from the Volbaino boss. I love the challenge and have beaten several souls games including Sekiro.

A tip here, perhaps.

I played dual wield, and found that, the difficulty in this game mostly came from stamina management. I was always short on stamina, importantly, in the critical moment when I really need a few hits to stagger bosses. Then I learned to put most of my stat in Endurance (which increase your stamina), made it almost double my Vitality, even. And all bosses feel more than manageable after that. I can do longer combo on bosses, as long as my stamina remains. Brutal attacks are also constant.

I'm currently in my second playthrough, on a completely new character. And the first thing I did was putting the first 10 points in Endurance. =)

Dam, I have been putting points across the board to ensure I was even through out my stats.

Think I am currently 18 points all in. Just recently used a point for more will power.

Even on Easy mode, these bosses are not a walk in the park (For OP) Currently on Volbanio that big deer dual wielding smasher. (changed from spear to dual wield per video)
