Augment of Wisdom farming spots?
Hi all,
I'm now in NG+ at the end of Act 3, the one material I'm always short on is Augment of Wisdom. It is needed to roll gear stats as lacrima costs on level 220+ gear are extremely high and very quickly escalate past 100k per roll.

I'm currently trying to farm some Augments of Wisdom at Vaisar Gate area, Crimson trace mission, 1st blade nexus. There is an elite Soulbound Knight that can drop the augment, however, the chance seem so be rather low. I would say, based on my subjective observations, it is 1 in 20 or 5%. In order to reset elite enemies, you need to teleport to another mission so I swap with previous mission in Vaisar Gate area, where there is elite corrupted cleric just in-front of final boss. I kill these elite monsters, run back to nexus, teleport to Crevice and join the other mission. The farming is rather slow but it is at least interesting as fighting these monsters, especially the cleric, is challenging even at NG+.

Does anyone have better spot to farm Augments of Wisdom?

PS. I do not believe Bard set bonuses have any effect on the drop of consumables. I used 3 piece bonus for a while, I saw more epic gear but could not observe any increase in drop rate of Augments of Wisdom.

All I know is you can buy 16 from Danjin. Sorry its probably not the answer you are looking for as it isn't for me either. Still lookn for what drops it
probably not what you are looking for but under accessibility settings you can just select restart mission instead of going back to the crevice and starting another mission since the soul knight is right there at the start.

This actually significantly reduces time to kill the elite knight, however, this only work in very specific situation where the elite monster is at the very start of the mission. You just run to the knight, kill it, run back to nexus to save progress and reset the mission via accessibility option. This probably cuts down time per kill to less than 2 minutes.

I can, however, estimate that the drop rate of Augment of Wisdom is far less then 5%. I'm now on 50ish runs without a drop so either the drop rate is a lot lower than I expected or the game simply stops dropping it after you kill the monster certain amount of time.

Escalating costs for attribute rerolls is something that shouldn't even be there to begin with... Nioh didn't have this ♥♥♥♥, why does this game have to? It just makes the process of crafting a gearset with desirable stats unnecessarily tedious. They really should have taken a page out of Nioh's book for this. It's just bad the way it is.

why would you need to run back to the nexas? just reset as soon as you kill the elite and pick up the drops. when the level resets it will auto save like it does at the beginning of every mission.

but yeah I got nothing better personally. idk with the crafting system as it is it would probably be better to just recraft the gear if the cost gets exceptionally high.

I understood the description on the "reset"option that any unsaved progress would be lost but I might have just skimmed over it and misunderstood it. I want to keep the loot and experience that drops, just to make some progress even if the augment does not drop.

PS. I'm now over 60 runs without augment drops, I start to think the game just stops dropping it after certain point.

That amount of farming for just ONE SINGLE cost reset is beyond insane!

Could we not ask the developers to work on this in a patch? It's crazy to think that they say you can literally have 9999 but then make it so complicated to obtain. Especially limiting it's purchase to 16.

Just to reiterate, Augment of Wisdom is finite resource on NG0 and NG+. There is no way to farm it repeatedly, monsters drop at best 2 and never drop them again. I killed Ozma over 80 times in NG+ and he only dropped 2 very early and never more.

This is absolutely ridiculous considering how extreme are lacrima costs for rolling stats on late-game gear.

Yeah the crafting system needs some serious work. It's a far cry from the likes of Nioh 1/2. Those games have a near perfect system that respects your time but still rewards you for farming gear manually.

This game's attribute rerolling is just too RNG heavy, tedious and does not respect the player's time. If they at least let you buy the Augments. But the escalating cost for rerolling shouldn't even be a thing to begin with. Or give us more control over what attributes we're actually rolling for. It's all a mess currently.
