Anyone else knew Vengeance Points were a thing?
I have 2 bosses left and just realized I have 200 of them... I feel like I shouldn't even use them at this point lol

I just told you that a button that says "memories" is not a place for leveling up anything. It's the epitome of the horrible UI design because they simply don't belong there. No one would just go and see memories of the mission they just completed. And the game doesn't say anything about existence of vengence points.
Not checking out stuff that is prominently presented to you every time you hit a sword nexus is not a UI issue.
This is a dumb argument. The game tells you that memories are simply a journal log. If you go and check out every log in the game you are playing, good for you. Most people won't go and read the log of stuff they literally experienced just now. This is not how a menu should be designed. If the game at the very least said something like "You could become stronger by reviewing your memories" you might've had a point, but the game literally lies to you about it.
This is by definition hiding a leveling mechanic.
People just like to speed through the game without discovering, exploring, USING THEIR EYES to look at the beauty it is. Or at least to look at what the HUD has.
And when you see some menus in other menus well curiosity is supposed to happen and make you push the button.
I found them during my current second playthrough. The bosses are super tanky if you don't use them, but honestly I found it really fun. Also please don't defend the memory tab being the way you buff damage, the stats are blacked out at the bottom and there's no tutorial that tells you that's how it works. I don't even know why any player would assume that's how you buff damage.

I can assure you I didn't speed through the game. I searched through every corridor, trying to find everything I possible could (hence why I had over 200 vengeance points). But an upgrade system hidden in a log menu? I don't think many people would've expected that. Also, I'm someone who didn't revisit memories because I just follow the story as I play.
it gives really miniscule buff anyway, so not missing that much

+12% Endurance Damage
+12% Direct Damage
+12% Damage Multiplcator

Sure... it's really useless...

I don't think you understand just how broken those stats are, especially late game.

People don't see what they don't want to see.
