Anyone else having major issues with the shield/spear guy here? Giving me more issues than some of the bosses, just seems way overtuned.

Glad someone else posted about this. Why does this enemy heal when he hits you, get stamina back even when you parry him AND apply plague? Legit harder than the previous boss.

no. like most elite enemies I just reflect his first attack and kill him in a single combo. legit did not know he healed when he hit you

I did have an unusually difficult time with this particular guy. Even considered skipping him. Ultimately, I ended up just dancing around him with perfect dodge and just working his stamina down through a dodge/heavy pattern. Took awhile, but after a few brutal attacks, he finally went down. It's not you; he's a toughy.

Use skill to get behind him then combo him to death

I usually throw a full charged javelin at his head and charge up a greatsword attack to hit him when he gets there

Yes, one of the worst enemies. That guy the the greatsword can be a nuisance as well.

Overall they placed way too many of those enemies. Elite and on elite. I mean it's still the same enemy just a bit easier.

In later levels there are tons of these guy. I hate that weird spider / human hybrid clone monster as well. Or that big abomination with a had as a hand that spits fire.

There is no lack of annoying enemies in this game. Later levels have some iron keep or shrine of armana level of annoyingness.
