If you want advice - learn timings of his dual gs moves to block them consistently, as for his katana phase? - just run around and dodge whenever he gets uncomfortably close, don't even try to attack him, it's just not worth it, but once again you're stuck until you get the timing of his slashes
I feel like i've beaten all Sekiro bosses in less tries that that a-hole alone.
Yeah not really sure how to deal with it. I'm unable to time the brink dodges/blocks and he just does anime style teleport slashes constantly, I don't get the opportunity to attack and even if I block I build up chaos.
I use spear and you can use the auto deflect skill for his quickdraw moves. That was what gave me the most trouble.
Also use fire enhancer as soon as you get the hang of his movesets. You can dodge a lot of his katana moves but the very long combo is best to deflect.
As soon he changes back to greatswords it gets easier again.
He is pretty crazy tbh. The fact that he can heal and his corruption crap adds to the BS factor.
He seems like a optional boss that should be tucked and hidden away in a secret area.
good luck
Personally I find some bosses harder than the ones in Sekiro because of the delays too (and honestly this artifical difficulty is just bs, same goes for elden ring bosses). I'll take on inner isshin any day.
I don't think Khazan is better, but I do think they come pretty close in most cases. There are a handful where I think it could have been better.
What gets most people on Malucas 2nd phase his his quick sword where he kind of teleports. Wait for him to sheathe his sword, pay attention to his shoulder, when it lowers, press guard. You should stop him in his tracks.
He can heal?!?!?!
Overly focusing on brink guarding is a mistake. It took me a while to realize that myself. Try to approach the game more like Nioh.
I played nioh a long time ago, what do you recommend?
I guess dodging, but against this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dodging isn't that great either because of his teleport attacks and yeah he does heal, supposedly if you aren't aggressive enough it has higher chances of happening but from my experience he just does it randomly, sometimes even as I'm hitting him
also I have no idea what to do when he's guarding other then to wait until he stops and that undguardable attack where he groans and impales you up is just unfair as it's barely foreshadowed and there isn't even a red symbol to warn you to dodge
