Anyone have tips for Skoffa Cave before I squash the Black Widow stuck in my garage
I haven't been this angry at a level in years. I thought I was getting a handle after beating Volbaino, but I guess not. This game is just full of surprises and testing of my patience. I'm arachnophobic in real life, but after wasting time on this level, I have no issue putting on my steel toe boots and exerting 100% of my leg muscle onto the spider with no remorse

Well, you can always turn on arachnaphobia mode, which will help with the fear. If you're talking about the boss though? Hit the legs.

Btw, this game has an arachnophobia setting. I am not sure what exactly it does, but it should replace spiders with something else. And fyi, the spiders are going to be a very unwelcome, but very frequent enemy from that point on.
As for the tips - use fire, I guess. And prepare lots of poison cleanse and resist potions

Yeah I am taking a break, it's just too hard. It's the annoying gargoyle elite enemy I called it a night for. This game is easily harder than any Souls game I have beaten, not even close.

Ah the red eyed bat, yes, that thing is a nuisance. Especially early on. You have to brink guard it's 3 attacks, then counter attack it and avoid the grab. It's easiest if you can just knock it off the cliff honestly, which you can do if you can get a brutal on it.

I'm talking about the ice one, I already opened that shortcut locked gate early on. I love this game, I actually care about the story, the main character and the combat itself has no issues. I just find the AI relentless and this level has too much ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ getting in my way of enjoying the combat. I felt confident after beating Viper, but I hate stage hazards in any video game and this level is no different.

Yeah, it's still the red eyed bat though, just the elite variant xD. You're talking about in the big open room with the opening in the floor. Bright side, you can avoid that room and go right to the bottom of the cave if you just head back and to to the right path. The elite is completely optional. There is a chest in there though.

Remember, you have consumables as well. Try hitting it with a fire bomb or something. Faster you drain the stamina, faster you get a brtual on it.

Those bats are annoying af... they will also appear everywhere on a small ledges and cliffs. I always try to knock them off with a javelin. They are horrible to fight
Tips 1: You don't have to fight everything.

Tips 2: You don;t have to parry everything. Simple blocks works just as well.

Tips 3: Respec your skills and use a different weapon or tactics.

Tip 4: If this is about boss fight, as in the final boss of the level. See if you can target specific parts of the boss. It will make life a lot easier. Which surprising, is a lot of fun.
Too late. I had one hit left on the boss and got killed in a cheap way. There's spider bits all over my garage floor. I threw took my 50lb tool bag and wailed it over the black widow, there's nothing left.

But... but... what did that particular spider do to you? What if he thought you were his roommate? Huh? :steamsad:

Another tip to help get you over the top on him if you didn't discover it already, when he starts to climb the wall hit him with a spear and he'll fall down, giving you a chance to put a good hit/combo on his back for some free damage.
Break its front limbs and javelin it when it goes to climb up - 3 is enough to drop it down.
That's about all the advice there is to give.
