ER for instance
4 factions all fighting against one another. The only difference? Not the models, not the fighting styles, not the weapons, but the tabards and colors were the only difference, effectively, pallete swaps.
Fight a troll in a cave? Hey, they have a bigger one as a boss. Fight a statue in a cave? How about a bigger one as a boss.
You guys act like this hasn't been done before and yet, it has been done COUNTLESS times before, by even the most prominent action game devs on the martket right now. So, it stems to believe that a brand new IP, would do the same. However, each enemy in the game is different, even the repeat bosses (Different names, different move sets.) are different. And there are a lot of them.
As always, Miyazaki-Meat-Riders come out and chastise any other game for doing it, but any title under the FromSoftware banner notoriously gets a pass.
"Always the same levels of poison" made me laugh, when you consider that there's been some variation of Blighttown in more or less every DS game because Miyazaki himself has admitted that : "I just can't help myself".
I've adored Dark Souls since it's inception, but the modern fandom cringes me out.
Yeah, but for example you didn't have the same mobs in different areas. Also, the way to the bosses had meaning. The way the levels are created in ER and the world itself has nothing to do with this game. I know I can't compare the 2 studios but for example the way that the world in Black Myht for example is put together has nothing to do with this game. This one reminds me Nioh2. The secondary missions are much the same. Not a bad game, don't get me wrong, I'm just bored of the same.
I'm not a fan of Fromsoftware at all. I just played 2 games of the studio. I'm not a veteran in Souls Like. But the same annoying poison and blights and flame and plague has me burn out.
Are you trolling right now? "You didn't havew the same mobs in different areas." the hell you didn't. How many hands you wanna see? Cause they were specifically designed for the manor and thrown in random locatirons. What about the giants? Oh, why not, shove em in the mountains as well as everywhere else. How about the gargoyles? Catacombs, world doesn't matter. Squid mother? Why not put her on every beach imaginable and tthose neat little swamp folk near the arcane academy? Why not shove them into the blood lord area, cause why not? The list goes on.
Difficult game??? lol
This is not my first Souls Like Funk. When u were using dippers I already had finished lots of games lol.
I was talking of bad design not difficulty ;)
