Eagle wind : Gale status effect?
I have looked all over google for this and haven't found an answer.
In the Spear tree under "Guard" there is a skill called Eagle wind. It's second form "Eagle Wind:Gale" says "Eagle winds shock waves inflict status effects on enemies".

What is this status effect and when is it applied?

I assume Lightning from the term "shockwaves" but I have never seen the status effect on enemies or know when its applied.
Edit: The thumbnail video looks like it applied shock status effect very briefly but I'm not sure.

It applies status buildup of whatever status effect is on your weapon. The only ways to get status on your weapon is from a set bonus passive or to use one of the enhancer consumables. The reason the skill highlights this is because projectiles normally don't have status buildup applied, and the perk on Eagle Wind changes things so it does.
