When compared to the Chaos Ridden set, I think the term "Counterstrike" refers to a type of buff rather than the "Counterstrike" skill of GS.
I don’t use that set, but if you are using it, you can check whether any kind of buff appears near the HP bar while you're guarding.
yes sorry i wasn't clear but i already realised it gives a buff with the same name. it gives fury when attacking. my main point was that it seems like a poor choice of words. I found it (i believe) by having the set on and inspecting it it gives the explanation of each key word. but you are correct it's a buff with the same name. ty very much
