The stats are soft capped and with the exception of vitality, endurance and your main damage stat - they are pointless to level up. The game's total level cap allows you to pretty much max out all important stats and also get to soft caps on the other stats. Sure, +5 will have *some* effect, but you would be much better off with a different armor bonus that give you something like +20% extra damage or something.

It won't later on. Trust me. That set is only used to give you an edge in the beginning. Later on, there are GREAT sets that will help you with your chosen weapon. Once you unlock the scrolls to craft them, you'll see what I mean.

Fallen set is exclusive to people that preordered I don't think they make it craftble.
