The map design in the later part of the game is such a chore
I want to fight bosses, but I have to go through every corridor and every corner there is ambush, there are random projectiles from expected corners. Just too much frustration.
To the so-called map/ game designers, cheap designs don't make you a good designer, just make you a cheap person.
I need to take a break from this game.

There are not that many ambushes, though.
The later game maps were the only ones that were fun, letting you fight on catwalks and narrow ledges with ranged enemies zapping you from multiple directions while you engage in melee. How did you handle the archers in Anor Londo if this is a problem? The enemies here don't even have much knockback and Khazan will catch himself and give you a chance to dodge if he is teetering on the edge of a ledge, so the encounters here are EZ mode.

This must be your first souls type game.

Peaking with camera before turning a corner.
See enemy with back turned, probably another enemy hiding somewhere to gank you while you sneak up.
See a ranged unit, snipe them out first.
See a melee and ranged unit together, lure the melee to somewhere the ranged unit can't hit you.
