Only lantern effects that made any sense to me was the cowards lantern to alert me if the body is a worm and the one that stops undead raising. The others have been... unintuitive.

Pathfinder's would be more useful if there were more hidden walls in the game besides the last 20% of the game, with even that having only a few. Grave Robbers is the only useful one overall. Luckily in NG+ you get one right off the bat that combines all of them in one.
