Spider boss.
The spider boss is insanely difficult and pretty annoying.

Interesting take. I dropped the new release of NG2 Black after Werewolf Goro. I don't recall getting any satisfaction from the bosses and I played the vanilla release of that game.

This game has little bits of satisfaction when nailing a brink guard sequence but I do the exhaust combo it is kind of a boring damage dump. Satisfaction might come from interrupting a bosses nine piece with a reflect if you put in the work to get the timings.

I think Xbox NG might be more rewarding than this game Alma and Doku were stand outs but I recall sometimes getting destroyed by Alma or straight destroying her not knowing what was the cause either way.
I love the og ngs dont get me wrong. I'll never forget my friend complaining about alma in highschool and I just blew past her. The female side stories do suck in sigma.; however, in the og ninja gd it was pretty simple why you got owned. you got grabbed you got bison it was her two only moves. You could literally jump up the wall and Y down.
RIght, I was referring to my mind set way back then. While I did use the wall run Y spam or flying swallow spam that wasn't fun to engage with. It has been too long for me to remember how everything was. I wonder how the GS here compares to the Dabilahro in NG since everyone seems to be singing the GS praise as best "feeling" in the business and Dabilahro was my favorite weapon outside of the ultimate technique.

I am old enough to know. I get that Lunar Staff is beloved but I don't like Blondes just because many other people like Blondes. Vigoorian Flails seem closer to the Bruce Lee fantasy. Soi Fong in Bayonetta kinda stuff. I don't think NG has a weapon that doesn't make you feel badass even the stick.

Vigoorian Flails are great and so are the Tonfa in ng 2. you master those weapons though and you feel overpowered by skill. this game fails to make you feel that way and just keeps putting bs in your face. When I got to the end of any souls game I felt like I could go own any boss. This game I dont, I feel like I am sinking time into a game that keep wanting more and more out me like an a abusive relationship. the devs are out of touch and dont understand this. For example dead space you are scared and limited on ammo but by the time you reached the end you now what to expect and geared for it.

I suppose? I am very close to the end of this game and each boss takes less and less time to overcome. I know my spear and I know my brink guards which means a boss deletes their own stamina and then I delete huge chunks of their health during exhaust.

I am sure there is a consistent pattern to most of the bosses and it comes down to being able to more quickly solve that pattern. Not exactly thrilling mastery but that is how this game does it. Humans with stamina seem to always have a 9 piece and a 3 piece. Purple drink bosses always seem to have a move that leaves a punish window so on and so forth. The game has a lot in it sure but a lot of it was padding with recycling.

I can't help with the souls game comparisons as I usually don't play them. For the Dead Space comparison I am geared and can deal with pretty much everything. Even elites seem to get "one" cycled as I have the exhaust reset ability and I rarely need it.

I think its just a great sword problem because half way throught the game there really isnt anything worth my time specing into. i just have to use spirit to clinge to bosses or my leap attack. Human bosses get rekt by poison by the way.

People seem to not be clicking with GS as easily as the other weapons. I don't really have any moves I use to get in I just Sekiro it and say "I am not going anywhere" in their face. Your agility as a GS user shouldn't be an issue either as specing strength helps with that. I despise souls style consumables and refuse to use them unless it is something annoying like Hyper Armor, Life Steal, Plague Elite those ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ can burn.

make sure to try and stay behind the spider, the ass is the weakpoint.
beat it, but it has the most idiotic delayed attacks. Do we need that? It's not a parry boss, it's a dodge boss

Spider McBoss was appropriately difficult following Blacksmith Goat. I only had issues when it gave his legs status as I brink guard. The easiest thing to do is smash a leg and then get a bunch of free damage from javelining it off the wall.

I'll try that. But facing him head on is worse. He stuns you constantly. It's freaking annoying.

Well yeah you're meant to dodge/deflect it.... Ofcourse it's gonna stun you if it hits you.

No seriously, go for the legs. Hit em as hard as you can.
Alternatively switch to great sword and use Inner Fury. It targets weakpoints directly, but you will need to dodge to the side of each leg to land it.

I kept failing then I swapped to level 3 inner fury and roasted her first try. Thanks for the tip!
