Speak to Tristan after defeating Tanya during the bonus mission "Remnants of Chaos" to receive this ring.

It's strange that I don't see anyone else talking about this over the last two weeks.

I had the same thing happen. Luckily you can craft the ring now. But it sucks to miss out on the reward and have to use a boss material
