Skill tree question... 2 at same time?

Can I use both Howling Blade and Whirlwind? or is it 1 or the other?

it seems you equip/assign one at a time? Same for Dragon Slayer and Gale, and many others.

You have to chose one. You can still invest in both, but you would have to switch while you play between one or the other.

Honestly, fjey should scratch out the other tree you didn't pick. If you invest in both sides you are literal throwing away skill points for something you can use.

It doesn't seem like there is a limit to skill points, so it might be possible eventually to unlock everything

Facts. Especially since you can respec your skill points at any time for free. There's no harm in changing things up to try new builds out.
