Switch to great sword, use counter attack into slam. Round house kick the dragon in the head for 40% of his stamina bar. Never gets old

Loved the fight. I guess the clowns calling it a "gimmick fight" have never fought any of the millions of dragons in From Software games?
...
You loved the fight because of what exactly? If you consider From Soft's dragons as a benchmark, Hismar is a joke of a fight.

See what happens if you run under a dragon in any From Soft title. Hismar will just swing at the air and dust while you can have dance under his belly.
The fact you can not target different body parts such as front or rear legs or his tail but just his head is another joke. It just shows the fight is a gimmick fight that can be resolved by exactly one way--brink guarding his swipes, waiting for his head butt and unleashing on it when he is on the ground.

Hismar is among the worst dragon fights ever, which is sad as Khazan has otherwise very well designed bosses. The clown is on you, dimwit.

he is my most hated boss fight in this game. I hate him!
At this point now. Hismar is both boring and clunky.

Visually, this boss is like 8 or 9 out of 10, but fun wise, he is most likely like a 4 or 5 out of 10.

I think that it's just too long, he isn't hard at all, but it takes a very long time to beat him, I think they should have just increased the damage of brutal attacks to make it a bit faster.

Ok my guy. This is a constant thing you post about everything. I’m out here dying to bosses until I win and every attempt including the winning one is like 4 minutes tops. What is your build. What are you doing? I so wish I could see both your gameplay and your stat allocation. No way every boss is a giant hp sponge for you.
That is because every boss is actually bloated with HP except very few like Trokka or Reese (Reese's 1st phase is basically a stagger fest so the fight is basically only about her 2nd phase).

We are playing souls-like, not Monster Hunter, the fights shouldn't take more than 5 minutes imo, there is just too much focus required and it's very exhausting to pay 100% attention for that long.

I am using Bishop greatsword with necklace and ring to get the bonuses, Soul Eater armor set (5 pieces), Furious Swipe is my way to go and that is pretty much it. I also started using Inner Fury because I had spare points so I was like let's try something new, but other than this, nothing special really, I was focusing on passive skills 95% of the game. I am basically attacking all the time, I usually get punished a lot for that because I am being very aggresive. I also have no idea what level I was, I am currently standing in front of the final boss and I am at level 136 or 137 I think.

it shouldn't take 5 minutes that's literally my point no boss in this game except MAYBE the final boss should take you that long.

It does. From Fextralife to Powerpyx to various users posting videos the fight averages at 7 to 10 mins. What more data do you need? There is already plenty of folk complaining about its length here, in the youtube comments, psnp, gamefaq, reddit. WHATEVER YOU WANT TO NAME IT.

And I know people are quick to judge but come on. It's long because it's an arbitrary attrition fight. Skalpel was another in which his 2nd phase you did pretty much nothing.

I mean you should Still fight him in 2nd phase. It brings his HP down faster
The fact you can’t lock target anything but the head is just horrendous game design.

Anyone who has played without lock on knows how horrendous the tracking and camera is when you’re attacking, Khazan will often whiff the last part of every combo input.
This game gets in its own way, but the kindest thing I can say about it is that it's better than Lies of P, it just can't quite get the idea that throwing punishing, obtuse disjointed rhythms at the player so they can learn them by brute force often times one by one is a pathetic decision that doesn't emphasize "the joy of combat." If you want to step on my feet, I can get better action out of an NES game. Unsurprising it just gets dumber as it goes on.

This post does not make any sense to me. What are you trying to say?

Lies of P is arguable the best souls-like game ever made by someone else than From Soft. So, Khazan is better than Lies of P, ie. it is one of the best souls-likes out there yet you just hate everything about it. Weird way to express your admiration.

"Lies of P is the best souls like ever made."

Yeah, that's a sick opinion, but I'm not some imbecile who would have such low standards as to give Lies of P that kind of credit. Enemy behaviors and interactivity in terms of the mechanics being used, deflection, are done better in other games.

But your point is, "me really love that game on a personal level, me not understand." Sorry, I don't care for your confusion then, either make your case or go tell someone who cares, I certainly think you're delusional and have ♥♥♥♥♥♥ taste, no surprise.

Last guy I saw go to bat for Lies of P was hilarious. "Just never equip armor, not sure why the game would let someone hang themselves, can't have to do with bad ideas or something." That's your crowd, huh? Sick, no like a disease get away from me lmfao.

no it doesn't take 7 minutes or more.

this is 3:02 with under leveled gear 20 points in vitality and 10 in endurance and a mistake about every 10 seconds. I show the build at the end of the video. if this underequipped run can beat it in 3:02 an on level or over leveled build should be able to do it much faster

Maybe i'm misremembering but wdym underequipped? I beat the game at like ilvl 128 and I never felt underequipped. I think you're at the proper equipment level in general.

That being said, it's a good video but you're clearly going in knowing what you're expecting and had a gameplan of prior boss knowledge. Which is fair and all since anybody in theory can do that, but showing this video as a ''if I can, anybody can do it'' when you're clearly both well prepared, knowledgeable and good at the game vs someone who is just trying them at their first time.

I get what you're saying, but at this point it starts to feel like a humblebrag.

the suggested level for the side mission that follows hismar is 125. therefore you are expected to be at least 125 after you beat hismar. given that breaking soul stones gives you perma lacrima gains, and the game hands out lacrima consumables like candy, many players will be above 125 by hismar.

a side note, I find that you are expected to level up at every blade nexas based on the recomended level. for instance hismar's level is suggested to enter at 119. it has 6 checkpoints so thats 125 which is the recomended for the next level. if that pattern follows then the final level's recomended of 134 and 8 checkpoints, you are expected to be around level 142 when fighting ozma. so congrats on beating the game very underleveled and undergeared. seems like a humblebrag

also someone without a plan, unprepared, lacking in game knowledge, and bad at the game probably isn't beating hismmar or any boss on their first attempt. that first attempt and the many attempts following will likely be under 3 minutes as well. I don't see the point in putting those qualifiers in.
