So the dark devourer set is pretty strong.
More so than I thought it was. The ghost arm over power is for lack of a better word, over powered. Destroys stamina bars and lets you immediate get your charge move off before they can recover, to which you can dodge, over head, into another charge move. Add phantom veil for extra oompf, not needed, but extra is better.

The most powerful thing in the set though, is brutal attacks cause poison. Not apply poison effect to your weapons, but straighjt outright poisons the target. Why this is strong? Poison is % HP based and best part of all, you do more damage to the poisoned target (15% default.) resulting in some wacky numbers.

IF you've never used ghost arm before, it is absolutely awesome. Better timing than the brink guard, more stamina damage and you can follow up with your standard slashes that you would from brink guard (But more effective.) Takes some practice, but the amount of stuff I tore threw in NG+ without taking a single hit (Iincluding elites.) was just hilarious and seeing Maluca die of poison, made me smile.

I didn't use ghost arm until I got that set. Might be the best in the game for greatsword. Really useful against Bellerian, because when he's poisoned even when she brings up the shield the poison will do damage to her HP and her shield at the same time. Only downside is it makes my character look gross.

I'm currently using the fugitive mage set, heartbreaker: fury is good when dealing with multi-attacks but I really miss the poison from devourer.

Going to see what the fleshripper set offers next.

Ghost arm is so good and it also a good tool to cancel charge animations.

If you think that is good try the Bishop set (weapon, amulet and ring), where the Furious Swipe move allows charged skills to only take up ONE pip and the charge is near instant. Its a stunlock monster and with the built in brink dodge you can use it for free basically.

If you use this with the Inner fury charged skill, your clearing screens, your stunlocking multiple enemies, and you chipping away at the enemies stamina gauge.

I use the Bishop set with the dragon set for the fury perks and I almost never run out of fury if I use my skills correctly.

Can't say I ever run out of fury honestly xD. Even spamming my skills that cost 2. The defector set is giving me 0.3 per charge and each charge is activating a regen and if the charges hit, the damage makes the fury go back up. Even using the 5 cost move from the fugitive mage set, barely makes a dent on my fury stocks haha. NG+ is a lot of fun so far, but really curious to see what legendary gear brings to the table. Hopefully not just one more stat allocation.
I thought that set was insane until I started playing chaos-ridden. Volcanic strike has the ability to insanely nutty damage, to the point where it's more effective to use than a brutal strike when breaking an enemy's stamina gauge.

I heard its each set/gear pieces gets another FIXED affix, so this would mean more potential to make powerful builds through mixed sets, but that is just me speculating.
