About the Ending. Spoilers!!!

So I beat the game, great game but I can't not gripe about this.

I got every collectible and did every bonus mission before the Final fight, Which is a requirement to get the True Ending

BUT THEN I get the "wrong" ending, because of a conversation choice I did before, that seemed completely harmless and, in my defense, felt correct with all the information I had

I'm talking about the conversation you have with Daphrona a couple "bonfires" before the final fight. She Gives you 3 choices of dialogue. 1- I must have my Revenge, that is obviously the "bad" choice. 2- I must know the truth, which seems neutral at best to me, since at that point, I already had (Or so I assumed) all the information and 3- I must talk to him (Or something within those lines) which in my view was / is the correct choice, and of course, the One I picked.

The game tells you nothing that this conversation choice will affect the ending and to be fair, that is totally fine. What is not fine is that after beating the boss and seeing the ending, you have no option of "going back" and pick a different option, and then fight the boss again to get a different ending.

I'm now locked out of the True ending that I worked for, for 45 something hours and it's corresponding achievement unless / until I do a new game or go into NG+. NOT COOL.

TL;DR : Got Wrong ending, Can't get True ending without new play through and I'm crying about it.

Edit : Also I just found out after walking around the crevice procrastinating, the Jar guy closes shop when you beat the final boss so if you haven't bought everything, RIP. -.-'

I Believe Jar guy closes shop if you collect all 44 Jarlings, and stays closed even if you go to NG+.
Did Normal ending Ozma drop his gear set Scroll at least? apparently its bugged and wont drop on the True Ending.

Went to check and I don't think I got his scroll. I actually beat him 2 times because I was under the wrong impression that you would only have the option transition to NG+ after beating him. (After you beat him first time - you talk to Phantom for NG+), And i Don't have the scroll. He did drop his "legendary"? (orange) Material though.

Also on the Jars - If that's by design it's just dumb. if it's a bug - welp I hope they fix it before my NG+ run ends xD

yeah i had no idea that was a requirement. i knew about the collectibles and the answer to the dialogue question just made the most sense. kill him, talk to him, or find out the truth. w/ the truth you can better make the decision to kill or talk to him. at least that was my reasoning.

crappy thing is that if you choose to kill him or if you choose to learn the truth he'll have 3 phases. if you choose to talk to him the final boss only has two phases. that's the biggest downside if you ask me, you didn't get the real final boss.

ooh oops i was wrong, if you choose to "have your revenge" there are only two phases.

also there may be a workaround. according to a thread on here if you start a Ng+ you can choose to revert to your normal playthrough and it MIGHT put you before you have the conversation.

1 of the 3 endings have two phases, other two have 3 phases to my know how
