You most certainly do have the tools to go all out. You just don't know how to use them.
Have just 100% both Khazan and Nioh, wouldn't say Khazan is a cheap temu version, it's definitely inspired more from Nioh than other souls/likes, but I liked Khazan a lot and it does somethings better than Nioh.
It's a LOT harder than Nioh though imo, which is why people probably saying it's a budget version.
I also think Khazan has WAY better boss fights and boss designs than Nioh, majority of Nioh boss fights are just humans, which mostly all play the same and if you have a good build, will be over within seconds, I 1shotted pretty much every boss in Nioh, without even seeing their combos or caring much about them, the only difficulty came in the stupid missions where they would make you fight multiple bosses and NPCs all at the same time, where you're getting ganked by 3 melee chars with unlimited poise, stunning you whilst getting shot by 5 canons and archers also stunning you, very much like DS2 which I hated for the same reason. Khazan I had to learn the bosses and change how I played, they also mostly had cool designs not all being the same.
He doesn't fly off that frequently and any time he flies off he's quite punishable.
It may looks bit difficult, but it is in fact the easiest fight in this game, even he has 3 phases and high damage AOE and has all elemental resistance.
I just make the key points as simple as i can, read following 3 points carefully:
1. when you get 1000 resistance, you are completely immune to this elemental damage and negative state
2. it's 100% sure and easily to get 1000 chaos resistance before the final battle
3. for phase 2 and 3, you can ignore the part of chaos elemental damage and negative state for attacks which are mixed by physical and chaos damage, and also immune to all pure chaos attacks, especially for most OP and massive AOEs
As a warrior, you are facing a "physical" chaos witcher, who can only deal physical damage to you instead of most powerful chaos elemental damage
It is the only battle in first run, before which you can get fully immune to all of elemental attacks and AOEs from Boss.
you only need to focus on the first phase.
But then again, there is no precise guide of elemental resistance in this game.
So, if you know such things, it's a easy battle, if not, it turns into a challenge.
necklace and ring give total 300 resistance, consumable gives 300 for 120 seconds
99 VIT gives 248 for all resistances
you only need to get 152 chaos resistance from one set, or 452 from mixed set, if you don't want to put a time limit to fully immune by using consumable.
