Pincer Spider Bonus Training
I've seen different info on this.

I did see a YT video where the player completed the challenge using ONLY brink guards, meaning that not a single guard wasn't brink. but I've seen other players say they also dodged the grab attacks or missed brink guards for normal guards and still procced the reward.

Can anyone confirm? I've been practicing in the training grounds and I usually end up with at least one normal guard in the mix at some point in the 3 times I need to stagger it to brutal attack.

Thinking it might be better to wait until I do more damage to be able to kill it in 2 brutal attacks.

Also can anyone confirm if the skill that does damage on brink guards disables the reward?

Edit: and yes I've done it on the first try after exiting to the main menu, and the whole game, and starting over from the crevice.

The ONLY thing I haven't yet managed is defeating it on the first instance at the bottom of the cave without missing a single brink guard for a normal guard.

I ran into what you ran into with this enemy specifically. I got it to pop while missing brink guards and dodging the grab attack. I use spear so my brink guard damages stamina only I believe.

Unfortunately the best thing you can do is to restart your game, do the attempt and see if it pops. If you die in the attempt best to just restart the game and attempt again. You are doing the right enemy correct? Not the rollie bastard but the big chunga spider.

I solved it!

I was using the Fallen Guardian Set which adds fire damage on brink guard and that was most likely adding to the brutal attacks. The second I changed armor sets I got it!

Worth noting that many of the bonus missions are bugged the first time you attempt them even if you fulfill every requirements.

Teleporting back to Crevice or reload from main menu fixes the issue.
