Did this flop?
Not asking if it's good or bad, just asking out of curiosity if it didn't meet the required sales cause I'm already seeing that I can buy it for €41 rather than 60.

third party stores always have games cheaper than on steam, it has nothing to do with flop or not

it's also way too early to tell as it's only been 4 days since release

Not anymore, in many cases, the initial price they lure people with might be indeed lower but after adding all taxes/additional fees/manipulation fees/whatever fees it actually gets more than on Steam. I know because I checked Wukong on several of those stores and after adding to basket and recalculating everything I just bought directly on Steam because it was cheaper and, well, straight forward, without additional payments. Interesting because such practices started more or less around the time when more and more so called "content creators" or whatever fancy name they have, got sponsored by those stores.

No

Or maybe for Americans but in Europe prices always includes the value added taxes.

For me key resellers are almost always 20-30% cheaper than the Steam store.

Literally not but whatever floats your boat. I say from personal experience which is why I stopped supporting those key markets. One can freely waste their money however they want, I just feel better checking stuff first *shrug*

I think that the developers said that they were surprised how many sales it reached during early access phase and it reached 33k concurrent players JUST on Steam so I think it's alright in terms of sales.

I am in Europe and it's always cheaper on Steam, unless the game is like 10 years old, which doesn't make much sense for me since I usually just have that game already.

Sites that charge taxes might sell you sus keys which might get deactivated some time later because the person who bought the key will contact Steam and they will remove that game from your account.

Usually when you buy from sites on which PEOPLE are the ones selling it and not the site, there will be many fees included in the cart.

I always buy games through CDKeys, YUPLAY or Instant Gaming. When the game's price on these sites is close to official Steam price, I will buy it on Steam.

At least in the US, it was available on Fanatical for 15% off before launch. Fanatical and Green Man are 100% legit key stores, not gray market like many others. Both frequently have pre-orders / new releases for 15-20% off.

Positive reviews + numerous troll posts suggest that game ended up very successfull.
