Did this flop?
Not asking if it's good or bad, just asking out of curiosity if it didn't meet the required sales cause I'm already seeing that I can buy it for €41 rather than 60.

third party stores always have games cheaper than on steam, it has nothing to do with flop or not

it's also way too early to tell as it's only been 4 days since release
I was just having the doubt, I've never seen €20 right after release, at best something life €5, so I was just having the doubt

Positive reviews + numerous troll posts suggest that game ended up very successfull.
Flopping is different from not being succesfull. A game have extremely positive reviews but if not enough people buy it's still a flop. That's why I was asking

No

Or maybe for Americans but in Europe prices always includes the value added taxes.

For me key resellers are almost always 20-30% cheaper than the Steam store.

I am in Europe and it's always cheaper on Steam, unless the game is like 10 years old, which doesn't make much sense for me since I usually just have that game already.

Paid 43 € for standard vs 60 € on steam

honestly its hard to call this a flop, the devs have little to no previous games under their belt so we can't use anything for reference. It sold a tens of thousands of copies so it has made at least $180,000 USD. good numbers for a low budget first project

Devs said that they were surprised by amount of early purchases and they are already working on DLC. Doesnt seem like sign of flop.

Not anymore, in many cases, the initial price they lure people with might be indeed lower but after adding all taxes/additional fees/manipulation fees/whatever fees it actually gets more than on Steam. I know because I checked Wukong on several of those stores and after adding to basket and recalculating everything I just bought directly on Steam because it was cheaper and, well, straight forward, without additional payments. Interesting because such practices started more or less around the time when more and more so called "content creators" or whatever fancy name they have, got sponsored by those stores.
Only in the USA. In the UK the prices are all in. So yes, you can normally get games 20 to 30% off.

I think it was the 7th best selling game of 2025 so far. Just right behind KCD2. It’s an awesome game best souls game I’ve played in a while and has an easy mode for people who get frustrated. I honestly haven’t found it to be that hard on normal yet. I bought this instead of Shadows and definitely don’t regret it.

You are 100% incorrect, so instead of pretending you know more than everyone else here telling you you're wrong, why don't u try checking sites that aren't shady and add hidden fees. Isthereanydeal.com will have almost any game from steam for cheaper on legit sites. The savings aren't always huge, but I've never bought a single game at launch for full price, always at least 5-10% off (often 20% or more) which obviously adds up.

it didn't flop. but even if it did it wouldn't matter. it was developed by Neople, the same people who developed DnF, the highest grossing game of all time. they aren't exactly hurting for revenue

that's taking into account inflationary value. over it's life time the total revenue of DnF is higher than any game ever developed. dnf total = 22billion, space invaders 13 (30 billion considering inflation)

yeah why would we not account for inflation when comparing earnings of things separated by generations?
